Remember that iconic song by Stevie Wonder? They called to say they cared, they loved you and they meant it from the bottom of their heart. Now its “i ❤️u” on the screen.
We text. We tweet. We email. The art of the phone call, the handwritten note, the human voice- not an automated woman with some sort of computer-generated British accent- has died. But really has it? Can we force ourselves to personally connect, would it be such an effort to dial, to talk? Even better, how about sending something that says how much you care.
For this, we now have (drumroll, please) Care Packages From Home whose logo is, “P.S. I Love You”.
With this service, you can replace the ordinary with an overflowing bundle of personalized, carefully picked and packed, favorite “somethings”.
Care Packages From Home is a new business in Barrington and services any one, any place. Sue McClure, owner, is dedicated to specialized gift giving. I had the pleasure of meeting Sue and speaking with her about her business. Sue’s business philosophy begins with the thoughts and love we are sending the receiver and each package is personally tailored to the sender’s delight.
Think about the word “care” and you get a hundred and more reasons to use Care Packages From Home: the college student who longs for RI treats, the business partner who was promoted, the newly laid-off colleague, the mom with newborn, the neighbor who is battling serious illness, the overseas military soldier, the holiday hello, the anniversary, the birthday, the milestone, the “cheer up”, the “I could never have done this without you”, the “miss you so much”. Sue custom creates exactly what you feel would bring joy to the receiver. She carefully creates each package and can add (yes!) your hand-written note. Sue takes your ideas and turns them into a beautiful presentation. No work for you and a lovely, personal surprise for the receiver.
Because, oftentimes, really, for many of us, the right words just don’t come immediately. “But what it is, so old so new, to fill your heart like no three words could ever do.” (Stevie Wonder) P.S. I love you.
